Reaching Us:
For international visitors, there are daily flights to the Cheddi Jagan International Airport from North and South America, Europe and the Caribbean. It takes approximately 45 minutes from the airport to reach the Capital city, Georgetown. If not taking tours in and around Georgetown, visitors may travel to Lethem via air transport utilizing the domestic air service from the known Ogle airport. It takes approximately 10 minutes from Georgetown to Ogle Airport. The local air transportation services are provided by Trans Guyana Air Services Ltd. (1 hour flight) or Air Services Ltd. (1 and a Half hour flight). Visitors can also travel overland via the daily Lethem-Georgetown mini bus transport services (14-hours journey). Visitors coming from or through Brazil may reach us via Boa Vista, Roraima, and taking an overland 1-hour transport to Lethem, Guyana, border town in Brazil.

Guests do feel at liberty to interact with the staff, take leisure walks on the developed lawns of the hotel and even relax peacefully in a hammock under the “Be nab” or mango tree, while enjoying the tranquility with the backdrop of the Kanuku Mountains. The Hotel’s back lawns allows for easy viewing of the landing and take off of flights at the Lethem airport.
The developed lawns at the back of the Hotel also has as part of its attraction the cultivation of several varieties of natural flower plants and ferns that have been neatly arranged and are well maintained. Those visitors who are into horticulture will find the garden very attractive and interesting.

The Takutu Hotel is the premier hotel in Lethem, Rupununi, Region 9, Guyana, South America, offering its patrons a range of services for their vacationing, business and other needs. Strategically located at the junction of two major road arteries linking the north and south Rupununi. The Hotel is only 10 minutes walk from the Lethem Airport and alot of the administrative and business centers of the community. We are a few lots away from the Guyana Bank of Trade and Industry and the Republic Bank Guyana, and easy walking distance to the entertainment spots, but still away from the crowding of the community.
